The culmination of the Legnica Jewellery Festival SILVER is now behind us. It was an intense and inspiring time filled with encounters with contemporary art jewellery, conversations with artists, and the discovery of many outstanding exhibitions showcasing the most interesting phenomena in contemporary design and goldsmithing art.
The highlight of the Opening Weekend was the official awards ceremony of the 34th International Jewellery Competition EVERY BODY, organised as part of the Festival. Once again, the competition brought together artists from all over the world and confirmed the international prestige of the Legnica event.
The Award of the International Amber Association was presented to Ye-jee Lee from South Korea. The winner received 0.5 kg of amber and the opportunity to hold a solo exhibition at the IAA Gallery. Distinctions were also awarded to Elena Gorbunova from Russia and Martin Grosman from the Czech Republic, who received a symbolic piece of Baltic amber and will also have the opportunity to present their works during a group exhibition organised by our Association.
We warmly congratulate all the award winners and participants of the competition, and we thank the organisers of the Legnica Jewellery Festival SILVER for yet another year of an event delivered at the highest artistic and organisational level.
