How have the covers and format of Bursztynisko changed over the years?
As a reminder, it wasn't always a magazine! Initially, it functioned as the "Newsletter of the Amber Association in Poland." With issue 12, published in March 2001, bilingual editions were launched, emphasizing the international nature of our association. This remained the case until 2018, when, with issue 41, the name Bursztynisko was added to "The Amber Magazine."
The photos show the transformation Bursztynisko has undergone over the 30 years of the Association's existence. Once a black-and-white, 21-page brochure, today it's a magazine of over 100 pages, full of bilingual content about amber and amber crafts, summarizing the past year for our growing, vibrant community. Professional typesetting, translations, and printing are possible not only thanks to our own contributions but also thanks to advertising from MSB members and funding from the Gdańsk City Hall.
Thank you for your trust, and we're counting down the days until the next edition – premiering at Amberif SPRING 2026!
