Exhibition: “Aya Iwata & Susanne Elstner. Jewelry by the Recipients of the IAA Award at the Legnica SILVER Festival 2024”

We warmly invite you to a unique exhibition showcasing the work of Aya Iwata (Japan) and Susanne Elstner (Germany) – artists honored with a Special Mention by the International Amber Association (IAA) during the 32nd International Jewellery Competition “EMPATHY,” held as part of the Legnica SILVER Festival 2024.

The competition jury recognized both artists for the subtlety, originality, and unique approach they bring to contemporary art jewelry.

Aya Iwata, in her “House in the Clouds” series, created poetic brooches made of silver and enamel – delicate, almost ephemeral miniatures with a deep emotional resonance.

Susanne Elstner presented works from the “Best Friends” series – minimalist, intimate compositions combining silver and textiles in deeply personal forms.

The awarded pieces on display have been kindly loaned from the collection of the Gallery of Art in Legnica – we extend our sincere thanks for their generous cooperation.

The exhibition also features additional works by Aya Iwata and Susanne Elstner, including pieces made with Baltic amber.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday, July 11 at 6:00 PM
at the IAA Gallery, ul. Heweliusza 31, Gdańsk.
