IAA Exhibition in Legnica: AMBER 2024 > Other criteria

2024-09-25

We are pleased to announce that the next venue for the Baltic Amber 2024 > Other Criteria exhibition will be Romanian Jewellery Week 2024, taking place from October 2-5 in Bucharest.

The Baltic Amber 2024 > Other Criteria exhibition made its debut during the Legnica Silver Festival in May 2024, with its next showing at Amberif AUTUMN 2024.

The exhibition aims to showcase the full artistic and craft potential of Baltic amber, highlighting its remarkable sculptural qualities and versatility in shaping, as well as its natural characteristics, such as transparency, internal fractures, color contrasts, and layered structures. The exhibition also features experimental works that reflect the unique styles of individual artists, emphasizing their material, technological, stylistic, or narrative preferences.

The curator’s goal is to foster a dialogue on the importance of design and the promotion of amber, grounded in high quality and free from marketing abuses. We hope that the format of this presentation will be well-received by the professional audience and mark the beginning of an ongoing exhibition cycle, presented in various international settings, with a focus on documenting contemporary amber art at a global level.

Exhibition Curator: Sławomir Fijałkowski
